Winner gets free supporter the losers pay for the winners supporter

I mean I'm not gonna go that far with the losers paying for the winners, I wanna keep the competition free for everyone after all lol

@SuicideMouseWasHere I wouldn’t recommend giving penalties for losing. That’d make it less appealing, so fewer people would sign up, and the point of this contest is to restart something that wasn’t getting enough people.

This is awesome! I’d love to see it happen!

On top of that, would you like to have a Discord server for it? From what I’ve seen, a challenge specific server might be a good way to help get all the entries and contestants in one place so that it’s easier to manage.

I think if I do want to do a server I might reach out to the existing NG server to create something in there rather instead of creating something new, at least for right now. I'm worried about doing a server for a one-off competition since it'll likely die after everything's done, but in terms of getting everything together for each phase I think the thread system should work fine for now. When the team's assembled I'd like to get communications on Discord if possible, but the competitions I think can work fully here on NG.

@Thetageist ok hmm how about something else?

would definitely try out for it if it comes around, sounds really cool. It will for sure be a pain to organize one group after the other, but with good planning this could be incredible 100%

It definitely will be to schedule stuff and work each phase, but I think if I plan it right it can give that incredible result :D

I still love this idea and I feel like it could have really fun results. I wonder if shorter dialog scripts would set things up more for success; they would be quicker for other people to read through and less work to implement.

The first time around, by the time the script and character design was settled, it was hard to imagine something more interesting than some tweened characters exchanging dialog with a lot of lip-syncing work. I think animators would prefer less dialog (but still good dialog) and stylized not-over-detailed character designs that lend themselves to opportunities to do dynamic animations. Would be great to see it work out in the final rounds!

That's actually a good idea and honestly a good concern to have on both fronts. I can try to analyze dialogue in the script phase to hopefully find the best balance between short and personality-fueled dialogue, but in some genres I think it'd be interesting to see how that balance would work. As for the characters, I can look for something that can lend itself to the style of the script (comedy, melodrama, etc) but also look for something that can provide dynamic animations for the final phase too.

This sounds invigorating. I'd love to be a part of this. I'm guessing if you can only be a part of one of the phases and you can't Art/Music or write/animate?

I'd be down to let people participate in multiple phases, but if you're on the team already I'd say if you wanna go for two jobs then you can choose one to be a main person on and talk to the other members about being a secondary person for another job (ex. you get chosen for music and talk to the team about being a secondary animator). That's at least what I'm thinking for now, it might be subject to change between now and January.

Hey, thanks for reaching out to me about the Pixel Day submission. I can't send PMs since my outbox is currently full (I guess I should get around to making that clearer on my profile..) but from what I can tell it should be fine to go ahead and submit it because it sounds like there's enough key differences between your work and its source/inspiration.

I'm not a mod, so my response is mainly based on my experience with games in the past (my submission for clock day is a very limited 'clock-themed' version of FNF, and I'm pretty sure there were others like Chainsaw Dance too). But if you want to be sure then you can message some of the Game/Movie Portal mods listed in the link below:

Yeah of course! Thank you again for the help, I apologize for the mistake but you were a legitimate help as well!
